Fwd: Perth update from the kiwis

Hi from Perth and just a sort note and round up

Well we made it safe and sound a total of 12000 k this mission from Gladstone QLD to Perth WA coving some amazing places to many to name.
Some of the highlights were Blue Mountains, Snowy Mountains,Grampians,Finders Rangers,Brarossa Valey,Adelaide,Eyre Peninsula ,Albany area Nation Parks Nullabour Plain (wow),all the amazing beaches from Esperance to Margret River,Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk.
Some of the weather we stuck ranged from low 5 degs to the stinking hot 42 degs One day we rode in a massive thunder storm was bloody scary and we were sopping wet and wondering would the bolts of lighting every hit a bike :-)  Then winds from nothing to getting hammered losing a 150 Ks of Fuel range and on the Nullabour heavy side winds that almost sent the bikes off into to the desert as we passed a Road Train (55m long ) we would tuck under the screen like MotoGP ;-)  and go for it bikes fully loaded and bracing for the wind blast as we passed the cab of the truck and taking on the load of Adrenalin for the next 5 Ks.
We would meet people on the way inviting us to stay with them and taking on lovely local trips showing us around to spots that only locals knew about or send us on adventures taking us out meeting local a fisherman at lunch  . Oh the wine the cheeses the chocolate ;-) Brarossa and Boston bay wines you all know who you are thanks heaps
To date we have just both kicked over 40000 Ks this year on the bikes the Suzuki's they have be wicked nothing more that perfect my bike has done 50,000 Ks on the original chain the bikes have chain oilers added.
The biggest  jobs we have had to do is  clean the Fuel injection tank filter DIY as we would have to wait for the Auzzie Post so it's out with Oven cleaner and bingo almost clean filters.
Big things we see  Mining, the roads, water pipelines, Road Trains, forest fires ,floods She's a massive country.
Thank you to all the lovely people that looked out for us and welcomed us into your home the journey is not over yet we are only 1/2 way around
