I am doing this at 4,30 am here cos can't sleep is now 5 am and Bevin tells me its 5C that's bleeding freezing but am toasty in my thermals & socks inside my sleeping bag :-)
Just arrived in Mt Gambia last night hope to have a good look round as there are amazing crater lakes.. Not like Taupo as in flat these are looking down into deep craters quite stunning and there are limestone caves and sink holes here too so plenty to explore today we tried to buy hot water bottles last night ( yip will prob get very warm at some stage but hear in. Desert etc like Alice springs very hot in day but can go - temps at night brrr) but none at supermarket- stink! Too late for Target and other places as realized there is another time difference here it's a half hour less again having crossed in SA. Went through Warrnambool and Portland ... . We left Bevins friend Leann's at about 11- had lunch in Warrnabool then rode to Portland was damn cool so we found a lovely warm spot in sun on nice warm black rocks to sit and warm up down by boat ramp then watched seals & stingray playin beside boat ramp.. Were talking to a local fisherman there told him we were off to Mt Gambier who said don't leave it too late as lots of kangaroos and emus run out across road- we try not to be too late riding into towns latest has been 6-6.30 so have been lucky so far and long may it continue :-)
